GoLUG Mailing List Rules

These rules are designed to keep our lists fun and helpful:

No profanity. There is no reason to use profanity, and it won't be tolerated on any of our lists.
No personal insults. Personal insults discourage people from posting, thereby reducing the informational content of our mailing lists. If you disagree with an idea someone posted, by all means say so, but say so nicely, and make your response about the idea, not about the person posting it. Personal insults won't be tolerated on any of our lists.
No hate, porn, violence, or illegal activities.
Try to stay on topic.
Be sensitive with SIGs. For instance, a SIG block extolling the virtues of pro-life or pro-choice is offtopic for a technical list, and very likely to create ill feelings and stimulate flames.

Tech:	The Tech list is where you go to ask questions, get them answered, help others, and join in a free software technical community. Everything concerning free software is welcome on this list, and technical posts, whether admin, programming, desktop or hobbiest, are especially welcome.
Ot:	GoLUG is a community, so naturally you'll have many friends here. Sometimes you like to "shoot the breeze" with your friends, about topics far and wide. The Ot list is the perfect place to do so. All topics are welcome here, as long as the poster conforms to the GoLUG Mailing List Rules.
Steering:	This is where the steering committee meets. Joining this list requires the approval of the list administrator, and at some time in the distant future might be open only to paid members. But right now, it's open to anyone seriously interested in GoLUG.
